Evening all...

and welcome to our monthly update. Now that Cody has returned from New Zealand we're up & running again with all things PPP...

the EP 'Nothing of Note' is in it's final stages. As before, the tracklisting is

After months of debate we've finally made a decision on the EP artwork, see above for the front cover (thanks to Ollie Neas!).

Secondly, we had a great night at The Head of Steam in Newcastle-upon-Tyne last month - playing to a packed venue it was a great debut gig in the city, and we shared the stage with some fantastic acts...

we'll be returning to Newcastle, this time gigging with the entire band - Ben Emerton on drums & Michael Clay on trumpet - for the first time, at the 'Butter Bridge Records Showcase' ...if you're nearby (or fancy a long journey) come & have a listen...

We've also started writing again, & will be looking to try new songs out at future gigs, as we look to tour extensively in support of the release of our EP.

So we decided to create a blog, as we've no website yet & we're up to a lot...

We've had a busy half term, entering the Midi School studios in Salford on Wednesday 17th & Saturday 20th Feb, recording 4 tracks for an EP that'll be out sometime in April (watch this space). We've augmented our sound slightly, so joining us in the studio (alongside our producer Jonny Rathbone) was Sam Morris on drums, Michael Clay on trumpet & Lydia Clarke on violin. Tracklisting is as follows:

4. Razorblade

We're more than happy with the results, check photos out on Proud Proud People's Facebook page.

We also performed our second ever gig, supporting a host of local bands at The Box, which was the fullest we've ever seen it. Save for Cody's guitar strings snapping mid-performance, we had a good one. We were also well-impressed with Swim Into Scarlet, a young band with some cracking tunes.
